Kirby Air Riders
Spoiler alert: The following section contains plot-specific details. (Skip Section) Zorah only directly appears in Road Trip; it is only seen in cutscenes and never directly in gameplay. Throughout Road Trip, the player can unlock memories that reveal information about Zorah. Ch. 1: Zorah, the Cosmic Drifter: Zorah is an inorganic machine lifeform that initially drifted through space, but wound up crash-landing on Planet Popstar. Ch. 2: Surrendering to Time: Zorah had no ability to move itself, and so remained in place for a very long time. Its landing site was remote, so it remained isolated and alone. Ch. 3: A Wish for Freedom: Zorah had a will, and with its will it desired freedom and the ability to move. Its wish eventually reached the Fountain of Dreams, which then sent the wish to Galactic Nova. Ch. 4: Creation of the Machines: Nova responded to Zorah's wish by creating the mobile machines, which he then sent down to Popstar. Ch. 5: Rider and Machine as One: As the machines fell to Popstar, many came to be activated by riders ' willpower, forming strong bonds with them. Ch. 6: Zorah, Torn to Pieces: Nova then sent worker drones down to Zorah and dismantled its body to extract its core. The worker drones built the enormous machine Gigantes, with Zorah's core in its center. Ch. 7: A Call to All Machines: Gigantes, much like other machines, required willpower to activate. Nova sent a signal from Zorah's location attract the attention of the activated machines and riders, beckoning them to return to Zorah. Ch. 8: The Trip Begins: Machine rider pairs with strong willpower noticed the command and went on a trip to Zorah's location. Ch. 9: Noir, Battling in Secret: Before Zorah's core was trapped inside Gigantes, a fragments of its will escaped and manifested itself as the rider Noir Dedede, who intercepted the incoming riders and destroyed their machines to prevent them from activating Gigantes. After arriving at The Farthest Reach and making it to Gigantes for the first time, Gigantes is fought. After being defeated, Gigantes becomes crippled and unable to move once again. Noir Dedede, noticing an opportunity, makes a last-ditch effort to destroy Gigantes once and for all, racing toward it in a mad dash. The rider witnesses this and follows on their machine to reach Gigantes before Noir Dedede does. Regardless of the outcome of the race, Zorah meets its unfortunate demise as its core inside Gigantes is destroyed. If Noir Dedede wins the race, Gigantes self-destructs in a devastating explosion. If the rider wins, Gigantes' body is pierced by the rider's machine and explodes in a less devastating manner; with Zorah's core destroyed, Noir Dedede disintegrates. A lone flower lies in Zorah's final resting place, where one of its petals flies off in the wind before reaching space. Now with Zorah gone, Nova flies off into space. If the player arrives at Gigantes with all 22 machines in possession—which is only possible by playing "New Game +" after beating Road Trip once—the machines merge with Gigantes and transform it into Hyper Gigantes. Noir Dedede comes to the rider's aid and summons the Dragoon from the sky and the Hydra from the ground below. The player is given the opportunity to choose which Legendary Machine to ride, with Noir Dedede riding the other Legendary Machine to fight Hyper Gigantes alongside the player's rider. Once Hyper Gigantes is defeated, Noir Dedede, now riding a combined form of the Dragoon and Hydra, flies into Hyper Gigantes' core, creating a bridge of light that reaches out to Galactic Nova, the true mastermind behind the machines and Gigantes. Once the rider defeats Nova, while riding the lion of justice Leo, Noir Dedede, now reverted to the fragment of Zorah's will, returns to its core amidst Hyper Gigantes' wreckage. With Zorah's will completely united, the machines—now free from Hyper Gigantes' influence—rise into the sky and fulfill their purpose: they bring Zorah's core and all of the fragments of its body with them, allowing Zorah to reform properly give its wish to be free and to roam wherever it pleased. Zorah, finally free, flies off into space. End of spoilers
